When your emails begin with a personalized greeting (e.g. "Hello Bob"), they feel more conversational, and are more likely to be read. But that doesn't mean you need to manually compose every email you send. Use macros to dynamically insert information in your automated emails, and to simplify future revisions.

Advantages of macros

The benefits of Macros for personalization are clear, but you might want to use macros to insert other things like your contact information or your signature as well. Why? Well, if you ever decide to change your website address, your signature, or any of your contact info, do you want to have to update every one of your campaign emails and auto-response messages? Probably not. If you rely on macros to insert this information, you can simply update your information in ONE PLACE (your account screen), and your changes will be reflected in ALL of your email templates. Pretty cool, right?

How to use macros

Using macros is easy! Just type or paste the macro into your email body, and when your email is sent, the macros will be replaced with the appropriate text. Macros will work any time you send an email from TurboLeads. They work inside your TurboLeads email templates, and they will also work when you manually send an email via the TurboLeads contacts interface.

Here is an example of an email that makes effective use of macros:

Hello {contact.firstName},

Thanks for registering on my website - {website.homepageLink}! If you have any questions about a property, or if you would like to schedule a time to tour a home in person, feel free to get in touch with me. I check my {assignedAgent.email} email regularly, and you can call or text me anytime at {assignedAgent.phone}. Good luck with your house hunt!

Best regards,

{signature}

When the email is received, it will look like this:

Hello Bob,

Thanks for registering on my website - www.ihouseweb.com! If you have any questions about a property, or if you would like to schedule a time to tour a home in person, feel free to get in touch with me. I check my john@sacramentohomesforless.com email regularly, and you can call or text me anytime at 916-555-6215. Good luck with your house hunt!
